Melissa Gordon-Pitts, MSW, LCSW-C, LCSW graduated from the University of Maryland's School of Social Work with her Masters in 2001. She has 18 years of experience in the mental health field counseling individuals, families and couples. In addition to being a therapist Melissa has worked in the foster care field and understands the unique needs of its population. She has also traveled extensively providing trainings related to clinical, social welfare and spiritual issues. Melissa has extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has experience providing therapy for the following:

When you are ready to begin therapy, Melissa will sit with you and discuss your needs. Next, she will work with you to outline your goals for therapy. Once your goals are determined, a treatment plan will be established so that you can track your progress. All therapeutic interventions will be tailored to your unique needs and situation.
